


MISSION STATEMENT
We aim to create a learning environment that provides students with the skills and experience that are required to operate within the UK space sector. This includes documentation, safety, design procedure and normal industry practice, using our launch campaigns as a platform to expose students to these kinds of practices.
We also inspire the future of STEM through our outreach programme, events in collaboration with STEM-focused societies and charities, and our launches themselves.
WHAT WE DO
Our team designs, builds, and launches high-powered rockets in Scotland. In addition, we have numerous projects involving in-house microelectronics, rocket engine design and manufacture, media and content creation, and so much more.
Consisting of over 120 members, our team have won awards, broken records, and inspired young people across the country.




PROJECTS




SALTIRE-2
A fully custom composite rocket, Saltire-2 was the successor to our first rocket, Saltire-1.
In August 2022, we launched Saltire-2 to 15,569ft with a top speed of Mach 1.2, breaking the Scottish student altitude record.
ELIGIUS
Our first competition entry, Eligius was a Junior Development Programme (JDP) rocket.
Eligius flew at the Mach-23 competition in July 2023 and won second place in Category 1.


EVEN MORE PROJECTS


HELIOS
Helios is the first liquid bi-propellant rocket engine designed by GU Rocketry. It will be entered into the Race to Space competition in summer 2024 where it will be hot-fired with a target thrust of 1kN.

GROUND SUPPORT SYSTEM
The GSS is a bespoke launch control system capable of filling and igniting hybrid and liquid rockets, it will also be capable of igniting solid rockets
